Abstract
Seeds of Cypripedium debile at three different maturation stages were harvested, surface-sterilized and immediately inoculated on eleven different media. The fourteen weeks old immature seeds inoculated on inorganic salts of T medium with yeast extract showed the highest germination rate, while those at both earlier and later maturation stages showed a gradual decrease of germination rate.
Key words: Axenic culture, immature seeds, Cypripedium debile.
