The present study aimed to elucidate the effects of plant growth regulators on in vitro propagation of Eudianthe coeli-rosa. The nodal explants taken from in vitro-grown seedlings were multiplied, then rooted on Murashige and Skoog medium fortified with various cytokinins and auxins, respectively. Among the cytokinin treatments, forchlorfenuron (CPPU) at 1.0 mg l-1 and kinetin (KIN) at 0.5 mg l-1 induced the highest number of axillary shoots (4.2 ± 0.5 and 4.2 ± 0.8, respectively). Thidiazuron (TDZ) at 1.0 mg l-1 slightly increased shoot length (1.1 ± 0.2 cm) compared with the control (1.0 ± 0.3 cm). Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) at 1.0 mg l-1 induced the highest rooting response (100%). α-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) at 0.5 mg l-1 produced the highest number of roots (4.8 ± 0.7), while IBA at the same concentration induced the longest roots (2.8 ± 0.4 cm). In addition, IBA treatments promoted the development of vigorous plantlets.
